TL;DR: It is a tourist trap.
All-you-can-eat setup, but the experience fell short of expectations.
Pricing system seemed misleading, with a flat rate of 300 pesos per person or the option to pay in USD at a rate of 16 pesos per USD with no printed price menu. On google review, a week ago, someone was charged with 250 pesos for lunch. This, coupled with the absence of card payments, gave off a tourist trap vibe.
Furthermore, the handling of drink charges was questionable. Two different waiters provided conflicting pricing for drinks, leaving me unsure if it was an honest mistake or an attempt at extra profit. (They will open the drink for you and another waiter will come and ask you for money.)
The limited food selection and below-average taste further added to the disappointment. It's evident that the quality doesn't justify...
Read moreThis was the strangest experience of my life. It is situated in the middle of Piste near chichen itza. We were here in a small group touring yucatan and the town is so humble and small and you walk into this oasis like hotel that is completely deserted and it is totally strange! The restaurant is a buffet with good food and a definite surplus of service. It was a 4 star up until that point until these dancers showed up on this stage played a boombox of Mexican music and started dancing with statues of pigs eating corn. Remember we were the only people in the restaurant during this and having 9 wait staff people attending to us. Felt like a king of some dystopian novel it was hilarious fun and convenient. Strongly recommend this experience only yucatan...
Read moreWe stopped in here for lunch after a hot and busy morning at the ruins. The payment setup is a little weird by US standards. You pay for the buffet upon entry and then pay for the drinks at your table. The food is fine, not extraordinary nor disappointing. The atmosphere is lovely. They use small plates and if you don’t tell them to do otherwise, they’ll pile it all on top of each other. One vegetarian entree dish when I went but the salad is super fresh and the rice and beans are vegetarian. It was a nice respite after the hustle bustle of...
