I'm very disappointed in my experience here, it was entirely mediocre and I'll explain what I mean. I absolutely love getting massages and facials, so I did thorough research to find a top recommended spot in our area and was very excited coming here. I arrived early and they were very friendly, good service, nothing special like offering a water or tea or seeing if I need to use the restroom before service etc. which happens at a lot of spas, but not something I expect, not a big deal. The ambiance in the room was lovely - great lighting, incense, good music, and she started the massage with a singing bowl and deep inhales of aromatherapy - off to a great start, I was so happy! I received the Holistic massage because they said it was a combo of things and best rated, but truthfully it was the most minimal, simple massage I've maybe ever received in my life. The stand out part was the hot stones, those were lovely, but everything else was flat/open palm broad strokes of moving lots of oil around. It felt like there was very little skill, technique or care and was just basic and somewhat relaxing. I probably should have booked the sports massage instead, and I wanted to ask her for more pressure during the massage but I couldn't remember how to say it in Spanish and because they charge different amounts for different pressure, I wasn't sure if it would change the price or what my options were once we were in mid massage. So, okay fine, not great, I'd give it a 5/10, maybe if it was my first massage ever, I'd think it was alright. Then I was hopeful about my facial since at least those usually feel amazing. I was genuinely so disappointed. The 90 minute facial is primarily a series of different masques, which normally is fine because while the masque is on your face, almost every facialist I've ever had will do some sort of care during that time, usually a neck rub or arms/hand massage. Since my neck, shoulders, arms, wrists and hands were entirely neglected during the body massage, I was really hoping for some work to be done on them during the facial. But no, she just left the room during each masque, leaving the door slightly open which let the front room chatter come in as well. Simply lying there made me not only restless and frustrated, but it also made my neck, shoulders and low back hurt even more than when I came in. The other thing that really disappointed me was that when she would do a facial scrub, usually that part feels so amazing and relaxing when they circle the cleansers and moisturizers onto your skin - but again, she didn't use her fingertips at all, she just used an open palm for all the motions on my face as well. It felt so awkward. Anyway, I know other people have said they had a great time there but I wouldn't recommend it and I'm bummed this is...
Read moreWe walked there on a Wednesday late afternoon, there were no more openings for massage that day, so we booked ourselves (hubby and I) for the next afternoon. I had a relaxing (Swedish style) massage and a facial by Rebeca (2 1/2hrs). My hubby had a holistic 90 min. massage by Cecelia. Total, it cost about $150 including a tip for both therapists.
Rebeca didn’t mind that I didn’t talk to her throughout the session, I just totally relaxed. With the exception of the extraction portion of the facial, I wasn’t uncomfortable at all. The massage pressure was just right, never painful or too much friction. sI got a little cold after the massage, but I didn’t have to say anything, Rebeca seemed to know, she asked me and turned off the AC. They use products such as eucalyptus oil and products that are either fragrance free or very lightly fragranced (which I appreciated, since I prefer to use all natural/ organic products). They also burn incense in the spa. The spa is clean, welcoming and has very...
Read moreI had high expectations for Quinto Elemento Spa based on the reviews and beautiful setting, but my experience was a bit underwhelming.
To start with the positives: the staff were kind and welcoming, the ambiance was relaxing, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. I also appreciated the small touches, like the tea, cookies, and the option to shower after the session.
However, the massage itself fell short of my expectations. It felt more like oil being applied to my back rather than a therapeutic session. I’m not sure if the therapist was a registered massage therapist, but it didn’t feel like much pressure or technique was applied to address muscle tension.
I respect that everyone has different preferences for massages, this one just didn’t work for me.
Given the comparable prices to other spas, I don’t think I’ll be returning.
This is just my personal experience, and I hope others find value in what...
