Mr. Gallo Tacos & Pizza — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

In the day time they sell an assortment of tacos for a very affordable price. Then after 6:00pm they start selling pizza and pasta.

They have so many types of tacos to choose from. My favorite are the tinga tacos and chicharron con salsa rojo tacos. Yummy, and so flavorful!!! I love chicarron con salsa rojo tacos. This is the first place I have seen them in Playa. You can also add rice and beans to your tacos if you want!!!

I am hooked on their carbonara pasta!!! I am a white sauce lover and I love the way they make their carbonara sauce. So tasty!!! I also love how much sauce is drench in the pasta. The more sauce the better for me!!! Remember to dip some bread in the sauce!!!

Their pizza was fantastic. You can never go wrong with a pepperoni or all meat pizza. I have tried both and love both!!! The pizza was baked...

Best pizza we've found in Playa!! 🍕♥️ Forget Don Chendo, we'll be going back here even though it means going out of our way to get here. My 13yo took a bite, & his whole face literally lit up with excitement at how good it was! The dough is handmade, & the cheese & sauce were perfect, just like you'd expect of a pizza in the US. The lemonade was fresh & made perfectly: not to sweet or too sour.

The pizzas are the same size at the wooden boards on the shelf up front, & they have 8 slices. They're also made in an outdoor oven. It was a perfect amount to split between 2 people, but next time we'll probably each get our own just so we can have leftovers. 😋😋

This little piece of Yucatan heaven was very cool to sit outside in the front of and chill. I got the margherita personal size pizza. It was yummy..fresh cut tomato on top, dont freak out, just eat it, it's delicious. Menu was different, go online check it out. Even with ppl inside, there was still space enough for either choice. Service was great! I waited about 10-15 minutes for pizza to reach my table..that is a hard guess becuz I wasnt timing it..but I didnt wait longer than 1/2 hour...well before that.
