This is not a true cenote in the sense of If you’re going to snorkel and see fish, don’t go!! It’s an underwater cenote, so it’s good for pictures with blue water, but you will be very disappointed if you go to snorkel or see fish like the Tulum cenotes. I would have been disappointed if we paid to get here. I recommend bringing your own boat or paddleboard as it’s fairly easy to paddle around the entire lagoon if it’s not too windy. We were able to paddle the whole lagoon in about three hours. The wind picks up at night, so go in the morning if you’re paddling. Also, the lagoon looks about the same from everywhere you go besides the watercolor so if you find a good spot to just relax, I highly recommend there’s not a lot...

While it is deep the water of the cenote remains warm until about 2 meters down. On either side of the cenote you can rent kayaks or stand up paddle boards for agreeable prices.
