We took a taxi from our hotel and asked the driver to wait, expecting a brief visit — but the monument draws you in. Amazing Memorial dedicated to the fallen in WWII. I was here on May 9, 2024 and had the pleasure of seeing the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, lay flowers. The Memorial Complex is large with an eternal flame in the center. There are frescos around with various battle scenes. Names of the fallen are in various places around the complex.
