Buffalo Steak House — Restaurant in Centru Sector

Bittersweet experience at Buffalo Steak House.

Let me start by saying that our main server was lovely and that the food tasted pretty good. The portion of the ribs were quite small (4-5 ribs) but the meats was super tender and perfectly cooked.

Sadly when we started eating a man from a big table next to ours who was highly inebriated came to our table and started staring at us and talking in Russian. We were just two young tourist girls trying to enjoy our meal but the man clearly had other ideas as he came closer and closer trying to intimidate us. We tried to ask him to leave and he just kept talking louder and louder making us feel very uncomfortable. We tried to ask another server to help us make the man go away but he just grabbed a napkin and left without helping us. The man kept staring at us from his table and the restaurant kept serving him hard alcohol even though it was very clear he was completely drunk. The man even started pouring alcohol on the head of his friends.

It was clear for us that those men were wealthy local men and that the restaurant didn’t want to risk upsetting them by doing comments, but as two young women trying to enjoy our meal in this restaurant they should have taken action and give us somewhere else to sit and do a commercial gesture. Fantastic restaurant and I had a really enjoyable steak here. I arrived early in the evening and was perhaps the only diner, but the vibe was still good with a pleasant atmosphere. The outdoor seating in the rear courtyard is brilliant and a highlight along with the food.

The staff were all friendly and could speak good English which was reassuring when picking cooking styles etc. The menu is large with a wide variety of steaks as well as alternative dishes and a good mix of starters and sides. Service was fast and presentation spot on. The Moldovan fillet was cooked perfectly and the side of grilled vegetables sizeable.

It’s not the cheapest option in the city but for the quality of food and service totally worth it - I’d definitely return and highly recommend for a...

If you are looking for a steak of your dreams ... Look no further. The temperature is spot on everytime. This place does something very unique in terms of the local market ... they age their steaks which definitely helps what the dishes to a new level. Also the sauces that they pair with the steaks look to be local made and deliver a high quality local product. I absolutely in love with the highly professional staff and interiors and wait till you get into the bathroom!
