As a reply to your comment, I was on holiday and spent 15 days in Tofo! Obviously I lost track of the days. But I'm surprised that's the detail that caught your eye! The aesthetics of Tofotofo and Datonga are completely different and it's really calling me ignorant to think that I would confuse the two! Wow! Yeah, I'll see you again, I love tofotofo! Because there are so few nightlife options out there! But this time I'll send my white husband to the bar so as not to waste time...

We had such a nice meal at Dathonga. I literally could not complain about anything, it was just right. Strangely the place does not appear on any of the “best places to eat in Tofo” type of lists (but SHOULD) and flies under the radar. They don’t seem to be blowing their own horns. Food is good, drinks are good, parties are fun, and the live bands and DJs are great considering how small this town is. It's a nIcer ambiance than many of the other places around so we ate here regularly. The only negative I would give is that sometimes they take MasterCard, other times just Visa.
