We had the worst evening in years in this restaurant. We ordered the buffet and drinks (Tonic and a glass of wine). The buffet startet 30 min later, but the drinks didn‘t arrive yet, so we reminded our waitress of the drinks. We were really disappointed by the buffet for 1200 Mt pp, basically one mixed salad, rice, hard bread and 10 sauces. I don’t know how my wife managed to get one piece of meat later, I went there 3 times and there was no meat. Other guests also complained. Drinks did not arrive after we finished the food 30 min later. We tried to find the waitress for 10 min (I only found her then because of her strong smell - sorry to mention that but you can’t do that in a restaurant) As nothing happened for another 15 min we decided to get our own drinks from the car for the second round of food to get at least full for the 2400 Mt. I just wanted to leave afterwards to relax at the beach after this experience as the drinks did still not arrive. My wife wanted to stay and finish our wine and enjoy the live music which was actually the only good thing of this evening. So I wanted to pay at the counter right in front of our table. The bill had 700 Mt of drinks, I convinced her that the drinks never arrived and we brought our own after 1h. The card machines did not work, so I went frustrated to the car to get cash. While leaving the restaurant, the cashier yelled loudly that I didn’t pay - in front of all the guests. I told her that I get cash because the card machine didn’t work. Another 5s later she followed me and yelled at me again where I want to get cash, I said from the car and that she can see that my wife is still at the table. I paid and left frustrated, she apologized at least. 1h later I wanted to pick up my wife, to find out that they didn’t let her leave the restaurant because we didn’t pay. The waiters outside yelled at me to show the payment confirmation. I told them I had to pay in cash and there is no receipt then. They didn’t believe and forced me to go back to this hell and show them the cashier that I paid. Horrible but she apologized again. Avoid this place - incompetent, smelly, rude, overpriced. We had such great experiences at all the other restaurants in Tofo, especially the Sushi place...

The so called Brazilian Rodrizio they serve on Saturdays is a total rip off and a scam! They overcharged me and made me pay 1650 mt ! 1000 Mt for the food ( it's not a buffet or an all you can eat like a real Rodrizio in Brasil!) they make you pay extra for beans and rice! 500 mt!The lady will come pick up the empty bowl of beans and put a new one without telling you they are charging extra so you assume it's part of the Rodrizio! They don't speak English so very difficult to be understood! When I asked for more meat they told me it was over ! I was the only customer to order a Rodrizio!and I know there was plenty of meat left ! I was really pissed ! I am warning and will warn other tourists to be careful if they go there! There are other places in Tofo way better then this one ! Sumi ( Japanese food) What you Want restaurant , Mozambeat, Restaurant at Tofo...

terrible service, they only want to serve foreigners, they mistreat and lack respect for nationals. They refused to set up family tables with a large number of people, saying it was the rules of the house, but as soon as foreigners appeared they served them immediately. The environment at night is unpleasant, as there are many mosquitoes, and they leave the plants on the tables in stagnant water. The menus are located very high up, making it difficult to choose the food. The bathroom was very dirty, there was water on the floor, and the toilet didn’t have a lid. We asked to replace the flowers with candles, because of the mosquitoes, the servant gave us two jars with sand and a candle, then she took one to put on a table full of foreigners. leaving us with one jar. Also, the servant refused to give us the complaint book, and to let us talk to...

A lovely local restaurant in the stunning Tofo Beach. The restaurant is built in local style, with local materials, and has a laid back, bohemian style. They have a great music playlist - we were Shazaming away the whole night! The food is local, and simple- a lot of fresh seafood, grilled meats and a few local dishes. Cocktails are delicious - made with fresh fruit. The passion fruit caipirinha was insane. We had lobster (you got two!) and a prawn curry, both of which were delicious. Fish samosas to start (fantastic), and a delicious passion fruit cheesecake for desert. One of the best meals we had in Tofo beach. Don’t let the location, off the beach front and away from the market, deter you- it’s wonderful.

This is a local spot with an excellent atmosphere, friendly and fast service, and amazing food! We ordered several appetizers which were all delicious. I would really recommend the crab casquinhas if you like seafood. They are incredible! The grilled calamari was also excellently prepared and very delicious. I loved the casual open air atmosphere. It wasn’t busy due to the lack of tourists but I imagine it gets very busy during a normal year. Absolutely a delightful dining experience! Only thing I would caution is the drinks were a little on the powerful side for my taste. Delicious but strong.

While the waiter was nice and the live music ambience was promising we waited 90 minutes for our food (3 starters and a burger) only to realise the burger was wrong (served with no fillings), the calamari was wrong (served in the wrong cooking style) and the grilled shrimps were overcooked. We did get some discount but went home disappointed and hungry. And to top it all off there was an emerging bar fight (luckily stopped before it fully erupted) What a shame!
