This temple is one of the most revered places in Dharan. The folklore says that it has the decayed tooth of mother Sati, when her body was being carried by lord Shiva. This temple is located uphill in the Dharan, one needs to park their vehicle and take a little walk uphill to reach here. There are all many shops around the temple to help you with all items being used for Puja. If you are going from nearby parts of India, it is advisable to take a coconut along with you as this would be expensive here. The temple is a very good place to visit and worship. Must Visit if you are in Dharan.

Auspicious place devoted to almighty deity Dant-kali. It is so called place of sati in memoir of her Dant (Teeth). At the altitude of about1600 feet, surrounding by natural beautiful hilly area makes it distinct. Nepali people as they are famous for their behaviour appears very helpful. At Navratra a large devotees join the PUJA here. May deity Dant- Kali bless all of us. Jay maa Kali. Jay Mata Di.

A must go place while visiting dharan.

Situated in the middle of beautiful hills of Bijaypur in Dharan is the temple of Dantakali (the tooth goddess). The temple observes the presence of maximum number of devotees in Navaratri (nine nights) during the festival of Dashain. Also, on the occasion of Maha Asthami, mass sacrifices of he-goats take place on the temple premises. The temple is one of the major Shakti Peeths of Nepal. It is dedicated to the SatiDevi, wife of Lord Shiva. According to the legends, after the death of his wife, Lord Shiva carried her dead body on his shoulder and roamed around the earth aimlessly. After her body started decaying, her body parts fell piece by piece in different places and those places later became the Shakti Peeths. The holy book of Swasthani Brata Katha has stated this and given the name Dantakali as one of the forms of goddess Durga. The tooth of Sati Devi is still believed to be preserved in the temple and it is also said that the tooth very much looks like a human idol. The place is beautiful with the green hills all around and the sight of the Dharan bazaar from the top is mystifying. The temple holds great religious significance for the Hindus and it is one the must-visit temples during the Bada...
