Kali Temple — Attraction in Dhulikhel

It's a very nice place near Dhulikhel town. Can be reached through motor road or by walking the stairs. It is located at the top of the hill of Gaukhureshowr Community forest. Located about 1650 meter above the sea level we can see majestic views of the Dhulikhel area from here. The walking trail is so nice with stairs inside the community forest that we can hear nice songs of birds while walking. The walking distance is about 900 meters from the main road. It also has a viewing tower but is closed now. It is a Hindu temple without the roof open...

I loved the journey there more than the destination which is “the Kali temple”. We had to make it through “1000 steps” before reaching the top and we expected it to be tough but don’t worry it’s pretty easy, takes about 30 minutes starting from the gate. Would have loved to visit the Buddha statue too but it was locked and when we asked a local they said it opens after 10am only but the sign said 7am so that was sad. The way was so serene...

Great place for hiking in dhulikhel . People can travel through car , bikes if they're not much of hiking person . The view especially from the top of hill is great . There is lot of things to do after you reach the top like swinging , horse ride too . Great for the people who loves dry picnic and picnics too .
