Really horrible experience I enter from gate in 1:10 pm and came back at 4:30 pm as a f1 student like why everyone is getting rejected even for visit visa for old people not to mention everything was so time consuming like first waititing in front for checking and scanning and that take more than 30 minutes and then go to scan everything and also then wait in line for documents check and then there is to wait outside for again 30 minutes and then again go for fingerprint in counter 5 or 6 and again have to wait 20 minutes and then it's ur interview time but u have to stand most of the time Like it's gonna take forever but other than all of this i haven't experienced any rude behavior everyone is nice and straightforward and also everything is really advanced and feels like it's not Nepal but actually in west side but this is a request that plz don't make students suffer a lot like seriously wasting 1.5 years just for this country in f1 visa and also giving dedications of SAT, IELTS and spending nearly 2,000 usd and hoping everything goes well and get visa at interview like u don't receive direct green slip but u get pink slip for social media check but still it's not 100 percent sure that u will get visa because there was a case where my friend got pink slip visa officer take her i 20 and passport and she hope to get the visa but unfortunately she didn't and from when Donald trump presidency had been started it's really hard to get the visa so plz change on that like visa officer especially indian visa officer ask only 1 or 2 question and if it's not great they will reject like even if ur profile is good and also if said really well answer the visa officer goona reject so for this time i was really disappointed so sorry I didn't get to be in usa but anyway and I hope all student not to go into this country like it's...
Read moreIn November 2017, I was on long bus ride from Tansen to Kathmandu. Our mini van got into a mild accident and we were directed to go to the closest police station to help file a case. I was the only foreigner in the minivan. We ended up staying at the police station for HOURS and it got dark. I didn't understand what they were talking about, and there were officers walking around holding big guns. I didn't know where I was either. No one would tell me when we could leave. As a solo female traveller and I started feeling a little scared. I borrowed a fellow passenger's phone and called the US emabbay in Kathmandu. They were very nice, they had a local employee talk to my fellow passengers to get to know the situation. And they talked to me to let me know they would keep calling this phone to follow up on me . We finally got released and cramped into another local minibus to get back to KTM. The embassy employees kept in contact with me during the entire trip of several hours. They even followed up the next day to make sure I was safe and sound. I couldn't be more...
Read moreOn July 13, 2023, between 3:30 PM and 3:50 PM, I had an extremely unpleasant customer service experience when I called the US embassy. The receptionist who initially answered the call did not inquire about the reason for my call and instead kept transferring me to the wrong department. When I questioned her about why she was not addressing my inquiry and why she continued to transfer me incorrectly, she responded by yelling at me. She even went so far as to say that the embassy does not provide any customer service at all, which was highly unprofessional. Eventually, she abruptly ended the call.
I strongly believe that individuals who display such unprofessional behavior should not be responsible for answering calls at the embassy. It is disheartening to see numerous reviews highlighting similar issues, yet there seems to be no improvement or actions taken to address this recurring problem. I sincerely hope that necessary changes will be implemented in the near future to improve the quality of service at the...
