Hotel Melungtse — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

This was my second stay. I came back because the energy of the place was amazing. They take great care of the place so it was conducive to my work.

Everyone was warm and welcoming from the owner, to the helpers and housekeepers at Hotel Melungste. Whenever I needed anything they were happy to help!

I got to stay on the top 4th floor which was gorgeous. There was a rooftop balcony I enjoyed doing yoga and business work out on too.

The WiFi is really fast and reliable which I appreciate.

The bathroom was very nice (especially compared to many I've experienced in Nepal). They also have laundry service onsite that was well done compared to other laundry I've used in Nepal.

The whole place is very well taken care of from the gardens to the stairwells. They offered to clean my room whenever I needed it, and I found they did a very thorough job each time which kept my 8 night stay very fresh and pleasant.

I ate breakfast several times and found the Heavy Breakfast particularly great value for the amount of food and fresh quality.

Overall, I felt at home and relaxed at Hotel Melungste. It was a great price for the quality and ambiance of the accomodations. Id come again and I recommend it to...

I had stayed here couple of times when i am in Kathmandu. The place is located near ring road chappal karghana bus stop. You will get taxi 24hrs. All main attractions are very near. The city centre is just 10-15 mins drive. They have various types of rooms. The view from terrace is very nice. If the weather is clear, you can see the himalaya from terrace. Laundry and restaurant service is available. Food will be like home made food and will be made according to your choice. Each floor is covered in wifi. Even garden have wifi connectivity. You can relax and work peacefully here. The owner is very helpful and extremely friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. Hot and cold water is available 24 hrs. Beds and linen used to be clean and comfortable. If you need a serviced apartment kind of setup, that also is available, with kitchen and utensils. Altogether excellent...

I had the oppertunity to spend a whole week at hotel Melungtse in August 2019. I must say that it happened to be one of my most memorable holidays so far. This is a family run hotel, and the owner, Mr. Kumar Giri, is a kind, cooperative and friendly person who makes a great effort to make the hotel guests feel completely at home. The hotel is well furnished, very neat and clean with 24 hours hot and cold running water. It is located in a quiet suburb, has a nice garden and is surrounded by lush green vegetation which provides a pleasant sense of privacy and YET it is not so far from the bustling city centre.
