I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lord Hotel, Kathmandu for seven days along with my artist friend, and our experience was truly wonderful.

We booked a "breakfast included" plan through Trip.com on our first day, and everything went well. Four days later, we made another booking at the same price and again chose the breakfast-included option. However, during our second stay, the hotel claimed that breakfast was not part of our plan and charged us a hefty amount for it.

When we showed them our Trip.com confirmation clearly stating "breakfast included," they flatly refused to accept it, saying, “Humare paas aisa nahi aya” (We didn't receive such details). They put all the blame on Trip.com, which felt like a clear case of mismanagement—or worse, a scam!

They told us to claim the breakfast charges from Trip.com, but when we asked for a proper bill to support the claim, they failed to provide any valid invoice - no name, no reason just a vague slip. We had one more night to spend in Kathmandu but chose not to return to this hotel again, had enough of their scam. Deeply...
