Sloterplas — Attraction in Amsterdam

Excellent place. If you wanna relax, swim or just look at the water this is THE place. Also it's great if you wanna grab your bike and cycle around the green area. Located in Amsterdam. It has an artificial beach with sand and there are some places where you can also have a barbecue with family and friends. If you are planning what to do this spring or summer, this is definitely the place you should visit. Near the harbour there is a bar where you can sit outside and look at the water and next to it there is also a corridor full of trees where it ends in a bay where you can also sit and contemplate the water. Really relaxing and beautiful to relax. :-). So dont tell me that you didn't know that this place exists. Grab your picnic basket...

A lake in which people can swim. Very nice in the summer! Near the roundabout between the streets Noordzijde and Oostoever there is a pier (wood and stone) where you can seat and soak your feet, sunbathe or jump into the lake (there are also stairs to go in the water). Dogs allowed (it's a public place), haven't seen dogs swimming, though; I guess because there is no easy way for them to go out of the water (there's no shore it's a pier). Only some occasional seaweed and very little waste in the water. Depending on the time there might not be any shadows to cover yourself from the sun! There is a point of drinking water near the roundabout! You can also swim in this lake or lie...

Great calisthenic park, close to the Sloterplaas lake.

It's a nice place to take a walk around the lake. Can take up to 1 hour for a complete round walk.

Spacious park, with green spots, old Amsterdam woods. Places that allow public barbecue. Clean up needed, if not cleaned up it can result in heavy fines.

Also a nice beach for a small amount people. Check always for blauwe algen, it’s a bacteria in the water , which can cause big harm to dogs and human. If you see warning signs, do not enter the water.
