We visited as a group of seven and were genuinely impressed with the food. Every dish was delicious and very well priced. It’s clear the kitchen team puts effort into what they serve, and we really appreciated that.

Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. From the start, the waiting staff didn’t come across as very welcoming. One of the waitresses in particular seemed like she may have been having a tough day, which happens, but it affected the overall atmosphere and the way we were treated.

Our food arrived before our drinks, which felt a bit disorganised. We had ordered two cocktails, a bottle of wine, a bottle of water, and an iced tea. Even if the cocktails take time to prepare, it would have been helpful to at least receive the water earlier. It’s not ideal to start a meal without anything to drink.

I personally waited around 20 minutes before being told that the cocktail I ordered was no longer available. After that, I had to remind the staff three times that I would still like a drink with my meal. When it finally arrived, it was placed on the table in a way that felt quite dismissive, which was disappointing given that I had been polite the entire time.

When it came time to pay, we mentioned that we were unhappy with the service. The waitress told us she would pass on the feedback and call the manager, but no one came. After waiting a few minutes, we decided to leave so we wouldn’t let the situation affect the rest of our evening.

As we were heading out, we saw the same waitress chatting behind the bar. We asked if she had spoken to the manager and she admitted she hadn’t. When we tried to explain our concerns again, she walked away mid-conversation. Luckily, her colleague stepped in, asked what had happened, and apologized sincerely which we appreciated.

It’s unfortunate that it took that long for someone to acknowledge the issue. A bit more attentiveness and openness from the staff would have gone a long way in turning the experience around.

The worst burger in Amsterdam.

First of all I like this place. Finally there is a modern place with a view on the lake. Staff is friendly and cozy interior. Overall this is what people wanted to have for long time in Osdorp.

I got really bad burger. 1 - the meat was extra well done, almost coal. Ok , some of people likes well done (not me) , but this one tasted bad as well. It looked like some one tried to make a burger from meat for a turkey pizza. 2-jalapeños with pickled cucumbers were everywhere. They were floating in just regular mayonnaise. 3 - no bacon and no salty or smoked. Some one was really lazy to create this burger’s recipe. It was like they collected all leftovers from previous customers of that day. 4 - the cheeeese was horrible, massive cheap Cheddar was the final touch.

So, the guy tired to make a burger but it turned out to the nachos.

We came with high hopes — beautiful lake view, good weather, and a quiet atmosphere. My husband and I arrived at 16:50 and placed our order for drinks and food (we were told the kitchen opened at 17:00 but we could already order). We asked for a steak and a burger.

I’m 8 months pregnant, and we were both quite hungry after a long doctor’s visit. We were happy to wait, but unfortunately, no one brought our food or checked on us for over an hour — in a nearly empty restaurant. When we finally asked what was going on, it turned out our order wasn’t even entered. No apology.

Food came 20 minutes later — steak arrived without cutlery, which I had to ask for. When we paid, no one asked how it was. The service felt cold and careless. No apology for making us wait 1 hour and 20 minutes.
