Bakkerijmuseum De Oude Bakkerij — Attraction in Medemblik

All major events of the history of the Netherlands they elaborated upon, from the industrialization up to the pillarization of society, and from the exploitation of slaves in the colonies up to the Second World War. Op televisie zagen wij dat dit museum uitgeroepen was tot leukste kindermuseum. Ik vraag mij af hoe dit gemeten wordt, want mijns inziens is deze titel niet geheel op zijn plaats. Als je het ‘museum’ binnen komt ruikt het heerlijk. Dit belooft veel goeds. €6,50 entree voor volwassenen. Ik vind dat aardig aan de prijs als je weet dat een kaartje voor het Rijksmuseum maar €10,00 duurder is. Desalniettemin ben ik benieuwd.

Naar mijn idee té veel spullen in een té kleine ruimte. Informatieve papiertjes geplastificeerde of in plasticmapjes gestopt. Ziet er niet erg verzorgd uit.

Tevens werd er wel verteld over het bakken van de koekjes. Echter bleef ik niet erg geboeid om te blijven luisteren omdat het niet met veel enthousiasme werd verteld. Daarnaast zat iedereen in smart af te wachten tot dat er een koekje werd uitgedeeld of dat er een stukje geproefd kon worden. Dit bleef echter uit. Het zelfde gebeurde bij het chocolade maken. De man maakte een verveelde indruk, zoiets van ‘ik vertel dit al voor de 1000e keer’ dat kan wezen maar de gasten die er nu komen horen dit voor de 1e keer. Ook hierbij keken mensen al watertandend naar de chocolade, echter bleef ook hier het proeven helaas uit.

Het leukste vond ik nog, het filmpje over het maken van het brood. Dit was een filmpje van het klokhuis of iets dergelijks.

Al met al: Té hoogte entreeprijs voor wat je krijgt. Informatie mag wat mij betreft wat netter. Meer interactie met de bezoekers, leuk om iets kleins te laten proeven. Met als conclusie dat ik ook niets in het winkeltje...

Probably great for children. Lots of activities for them. Not so much for adults. There were no demonstrations or any other activity concerning a bakery when we were visiting although it was pretty busy. Nothing to do, nothing to taste, while they tell you on the website you'll start drooling as soon as you enter.
