Eetcafé Rumours — Restaurant in Medemblik

I was told the food there is amazing so I went and was disappointed. The burger was dry, my friend had the Caesar salad and after that she had stomach problems. The spare ribs were almost cold and really greasy not in a good spare ribs way... The service was the poorest I ever received in the Netherlands. We went on a week day in the afternoon so it was not busy. But all the three waitress ignored us almost all the time, even when we asked for the bill. We sat there waiting for half an hour to pay and nobody came after we called them few times. In the end I just went and paid it at the bar. If we had to pay at the bar, nobody told us... It was difficult to order too, we had to wave at them four time and the place was empty so they were busy sitting on a table on their phones. Once they brought our drinks and food none of them ever came again to ask if we want something else. I did wanted to order something else but nobody ever came again, I tried again to wave with a smile at the waitresses but no success. I went twice there and both time was the same and I won't be going for the third...

Wasn't a fan of the salad which I was served. It was swimming in water (or tasteless dressing, idk). My friends who ordered burgers felt that the beef was bought from the shop, defrosted and thrown into the burger. Also the buns didn't seem to be home made. Additionally, we didn't get menus at the begging, they weren't any close to us and we were asked what we want to order. I expected something more taking into consideration the amount of people sitting there. Maybe it was just their bad day and we were unlucky. Anyways, I am still looking for a good restaurant...
