We liked the museum pretty much. It's not big, but packed with a lot of activities and interactive materials. I would say it's kid oriented, whole floor is dedicated to traditional games so would kids busy for at least few hours. There is also an access to tower with acting chimes. Stuff was very friendly and helpful overall.

Museum de Speeltoren- уникальный музей в городе Монникендаме.Он расположен в старинной красивой башне .Главная особенность музея -это один из самых старых расстроенных карильонов в мире.В музее проходят временные выставки, а постоянная коллекция в Водном и Земельном зале рассказывает о истории и жизни этого региона,везде можно посмотреть разные фильмы о происхождении, развитии города и прилегающих территорий,и развитие основных отраслей. Детям отведен 3 этаж,где можно весело поиграть.На последнем этаже , в зале "Карильон" , я посмотрела увлекательный фильм о башне и самом карильоне и увидела своими глазами работу механизма карильона.Это было очень захватывающе.В музее работает лифт.Мне все очень понравилось.Советую всем посетить этот замечательный музей.На входе действует Museumkaart.

If you're thinking of staying in this area, don't. This bell tower plays the loudest, most annoying and out of tune jingle I have ever heard EVERY 15 MINUTES, AROUND THE CLOCK, DAY AND NIGHT. It's honestly like psychological torture trying to get any sleep in this town. I don't know how the residents here haven't gone utterly insane. This building should be demolished and the rubble should be launched into space and fired out of a cannon into the...

I am staying in a nearby hotel and for some reason you decide to chime your bell at silly hours of the day. I respect that there may be some culture significance to this.
