We happened to come across this wonderful restaurant when we stayed in Monnickendam recently. What a treat and a lucky find -the food was absolutely Amazing!! The whole atmosphere was wonderful, from the really friendly and well informed staff, to the beautiful simple yet elegant surroundings, would highly recommend this gorgeous restaurant. They just serve 1 menu, but every single thing we ate was superb, the flavours, the presentation and the combination of the wine pairing made this a very special place to spend a night. Marga and her team know how to create a fantastic atmosphere. Every time we have been here has been a real treat. The reception is friendly and welcoming. The room is light and cozy. We came there pretty late and the kitchen was already closed. They let us stay for a drink and even though we stayed just for an hour - the experience we had was amazing. The owner served us by himself, telling so much about wine they have, the vineyards. Then he came and offered a cheeseboard as he was worried that the kitchen was already closed.
