"ASK THE MANAGER FIRST"

Was there for a wedding reception a couple weekends ago. Venue was fantastic, scenery even better, food not bad (bar the bad crackling that was overly chewy and not crispy). However, the staff seemed brainless due to the micro management we witnessed by the lady manager. When we asked if the blinds could be drawn to shield our eyes from the sunny spot we were sitting in, the wait staff looked alarmed and apologised that she would have to ask the manager first. Later, when asking for a drink that would aid a bad cough, the bar staff said they would have to ask the manager first. We found out through the groom's friends that that same lady manager wouldn't let them plan their speech timings around the food before the reception and during the reception when Okahu staff were running late, she was extremely inflexible with the bride and groom and not willing to budge as they had to wait until the staff had collected all the plates. This lady needs a lesson in customer service and a course in EQ. Apart from her and the cheaply paid student staff everything else...

I recently celebrated 5 years of my company with a cocktail and it was a huge success! I had the pleasure of working with Yara (Event Coordinator) to make the event happen. Its been long overdue but we would like to say a big Thank you to Heitor and the team for hosting a memorable experience on our Wedding Reception back in April 2021. We had so much good feedback from our guests that the food was very delicious and they have nothing but high praise. The venue was well and neatly arranged and it has a wonderful scenery of Auckland CBD at night and a great spot to witness the sunset.
