I started coming to the St Heliers studio (from another great Peak studio) during the 2021 Aug-Dec Akld Covid lockdown as outdoor classes were available to keep my sanity and fitness intact. I've had two skiing injuries since then and the availability of excellent physios who can also rehabilitate with Pilates helped me recover my confidence and strength quickly. Receptionist Sai is friendly and accommodating. An amazing Pilates instructor from my previous studio, Leoni, also does classes here, mainly intro/beginner classes currently. One of the best things about Peak St Heliers is their Master Pilates instructor, Simone. Her classes are fun but seriously effective. Never say you can't feel the muscle you are exercising or within seconds, you will! Simone caters for all ages, all shapes and sizes, men and women, and under her watchful eye I am achieving my fitness goals. If you are new to her classes it is worth doing a few 1:1 sessions so she can get to know your fitness needs. It is so good to feel strong and fit. And a few years ago I did not think this was possible. Highly...
Read moreAwesome team of instructors and physios, great location with waterfront views, and a good range of classes to suit all levels. I started with Peak nearly 1yr ago for physio with Alana for rehab on my lower back, and recently eased back into beginner Pilates sessions thanks to her. I’ve now moved onto intermediate classes with Simone - who not only brings great variety and energy to her classes, but also uses vocab that clearly articulates how to engage and move your body correctly to...
Read moreI have started coming to this studio since 2011. Their level and attention to details of Pilates instructors and Physio therapists have been amazing. I knew nothing about Pilates before and I have learned a lot since then. But I am still learning at every single class I attend as instructors are always come up with something different/new all the time. Definitely a must if you have lower back pain like me or something wrong with your body but you don’t know why it is keep happening. Most important thing I have learned in Pilates (apart from breathing, to recognise where you are in space and what kind of bad habits I have when I move my body etc) which has given me a body to recognise what i am doing wrong and hopefully prevent future...
