I had high hopes that my 2 years old son would enjoy this place but sadly it wasn’t so. I got two adults tickets and 1 for kids zone. At the gate the lady placed my son’s wristband on me and place mine on my son…how would I have known??🤦🏽♀️ it’s my time here. At the kids zone, the lady at the train ride for kids wouldn’t let my son in saying he wasn’t up to height which I was cool with but a parent with a daughter right behind me was allowed in even though the little was same height as my son. I never believed racism existed in New Zealand until this point. I tried not to be upset and took my son to enter another ride but the lady there didn’t even allow me to finish talking and her response was “your son can’t go on here because he wasn’t allowed there”. I was speechless and this made me wonder why it was called kids zone when there’s basically nothing for an African 2 years old. He was able to get on just one ride and that’s it. Then for and the other adult with me, we were refused entry on the train ride as well because the wrist band I had was meant for my son and she asked me to go to the entrance so a staff could swap it. At the entrance again the same lady who wrongly placed our wristbands acted like she didn’t know what I was talking about until a male staff asked what the problem was. I explained to him and even showed the two adults ticket I bought and that for my son. He understood the mix up and told me they would give me a new adult ticket however I had to pay additional dollars to upgrade. He mentioned that with the upgrade I will be able to go on some of the adult rides with my son. I was happy and returned to enter the adult train ride but the lady there again refused saying I can’t go with my son. I got really frustrated and had to leave the venue.
My son’s only crime is his skin color. But we love being black and wouldn’t change it for anything. There’s also almost nothing for babies and toddlers in the so called kids zone. At the end of the day… I just wasted my...
Read moreThe Ultimate Birthday Destination for Kids and Adults Alike! We recently celebrated my child’s 10th birthday and my younger ones 5th at this incredible themed park and it was nothing short of magical! The park is brilliantly divided into two distinct kingdoms—one for under-8s and another for over-8s—ensuring age-appropriate fun for everyone.
From thrilling rides and water splashes to interactive attractions, every corner of the park is packed with excitement. The under-8 kingdom is whimsical and colorful, perfect for younger children to explore safely. Meanwhile, the over-8 zone offers just the right mix of adventure and adrenaline to keep older kids engaged and exhilarated.
What made our experience extra special was the birthday package for under-8s, which included a complimentary themed room. The disney themed walls were jaw-dropping with vibrant colors and characters everywhere. It saved us the hassle of bringing our own decor (not allowed anyway) and honestly, the kids were in awe! And the photos were insta worthy.
The park doesn’t allow outside food except for the birthday cake but there’s no need to worry. With a variety of food spots offering kid-friendly meals and delicious options for adults, plus plenty of comfortable seating, everyone was well-fed and happy.
A few highlights:
The staff is fantastic—super friendly, organized, and genuinely enthusiastic about making your experience memorable.
Plenty of shaded areas and resting spots make it easy to recharge between the fun.
If you’re looking for a full-on adventure with non-stop entertainment for kids of all ages, this park is it! We’re already planning our next visit.
Sure, it might cost you an arm and a leg—but hey, you can grow those back, right? (...p.s. even spectators have to pay)
Highly recommended for birthday celebrations or just a fantastic day out...
Read moreWent here yesterday for my son’s 12th birthday celebration. One of his friends arrived late around 12:30 PM. As I went to pick him up at the entrance and purchase a Children’s Superpass, a lady staff member approached me and asked if I had booked online. I explained that I hadn’t, as it was a last-minute confirmation that the friend could attend.
She told me the tickets were sold out and no more entries were allowed. I politely pleaded and even begged, explaining how important it was for the boy to celebrate with his friends on this special day. Sadly, she showed no empathy and kept refusing, eventually offering only a $20 spectator ticket—which didn’t include any activities.
I then approached the cashier and tried to explain the situation again. As I spoke, the same staff member came over and firmly instructed the cashier to only issue a spectator ticket and to make sure the child wouldn’t participate in any rides or games. The child heard everything. It was humiliating and made us feel completely dismissed. Her tone was harsh and lacked any kindness or professionalism—especially considering the child had traveled a long way to be there.
I even asked if I could give up or swap my own unlimited laser tag ticket so the child could play just one game, but she refused without a second thought.
In the end, the child was allowed to enter, but only to watch. My request was denied, and it left my son and his friend feeling disappointed.
As a parent, it was heartbreaking to witness. I understand there are rules, but a little compassion and flexibility—especially on a child’s birthday—would have made all the difference. I truly hope this doesn't happen to...
