Clearwater Golf Course,

We had a stop over at Christchurch from our Cruise. I made a few phone calls to some golf clubs expecting that been a Saturday that it would be hard to get a game. But called Clearwater Golf Club and James in the proshop was really nice and accommodating to my needs with time requirements to when we can get off the ship and when I need to be back. Can say enough also about the members, all that I met were fantastic and really friendly. I played the round with Marty, Michael, and Hash. There were awesome guys and had so much fun. They made me feel so welcome. The golf course was in fantastic condition. I would come back for a game and highly recommend this golf course to folks looking for a game. Great facilities, great people at ghe proshop and members made this a great...

Expensive for the quality of the course. Paid $325. Not the $250 as advertised on the website for a day of golf. As first time vistors wasn't very welcomed to the course by pro shop. Minimal information from the pro shop then sent on your way. Driving range closed for revelopment and forced to use a farm area with poor tee lies. Course was lacking the quality expected in the price tag. Holes hadn't been cut in at least two days, slow greens, no aprons, bunkers full of large stones and drinks cart The shower facilities had no towels, no soap wash left and looked to be not cleaned in a while. On the up side the bar hospitality bar staff was very welcoming. Overall wouldn't come back for...

Disappointed with this experience. Felt that the overall course design is good but condition wasn't terrific. For instance on one hole the greens staff had obviously been mowing around the bunker so the sand was literally covered in grass and not attempt had been made to clear it out. Greens were average and fairway condition not terrific. Play was exceedingly slow as the group in front (tourists) were very slow and not interested in either speeding up or waving us through. As a golf experience Clearwater does not compare with Millbrook or Jack's Point which we have also played in...

Clearwater really turned it on yesterday, what an amazing course! The course was in fantastic condition, the greens are great pace and fair, there are some strong tee shots with water on the back nine. We played the back tees and everyone up to a 15 handicap found it a fair test, without being too penal. Can’t wait to play there again soon. James Ashwin Kakapo Business Sales
