Maybe fence more of the river for smaller amounts of dogs to run around in. Need more bbqs too why not have different fenced areas for BBQing with family and pets...

Me and my partner come here atleast twice a week. Our ages are 43 & 40 but learn something every time. There's a duck who we call "Hoppy" because he/she has a bad leg so needs to be fed while he/she sits down (can't run for the food like the rest). The ducks birds swans all make it exciting. The video though is what got us... Its a video of who we now call "earnie" he has a wife & a child who he gets food for & runs back to feed. This video which we captured months ago was our moment.... Been back ever since. Please remember earnie. He's slowly getting use to his name. *NOTE first video is of earnie getting use to us & showing up only by himself. 2nd video as time went by please watch to the end to see what we captured most ❤️. Never too old to learn something new (I honestly wish my man was like...

My daughter got me off the couch and out of the house to go visit the Groynes, in Christchurch. This place was very special to my children many decades ago and grandchildren later on, when they were growing up. So many picnic days and mixing with other family members for barbecues at the Groynes. Still a very well maintained area with lovely walks. A great place for your children While not a warm day, we sat at a picnic table by the water and all the memories came flooding back of our good times there, over the years. Such a peaceful spot, that I have not been to, the past 10...

Upon my arrival in Christchurch in 2015, Gryones was a hidden gem revealed by a local friend from Belfast. The park, with its calming ambiance, park benches overlooking the lake, and opportunities for mushroom foraging, became a cherished retreat. However, over the eight years until 2023, the transformation into a camping and picnic spot led to a noticeable decline. The once pristine Gryones lost its charm, overwhelmed by fishing rods, concrete developments, and an overall deterioration, painting a stark contrast to the tranquil haven I initially discovered.

Beautiful place with awesome spots for walks, picnics and plenty of room for dogs to enjoy in the extensive dog park areas. The forested area prevents most of the road noise which makes the walk’s peaceful. Lakes and steams are really nice just be careful when it’s been raining because some parts of walking tracks can get flooded in places. Overall would highly recommend if you’re looking to spend some time getting exercise or relaxing on a nice day.
