Crosbie Park is a large open space at the west end of Avonhead. There is a small stream, which is a tributary of the Avon River, running through the park. It is easy enough to jump across it but you may wish to use the bridge; this is hidden in the foliage behind the practise netball hoop. There is a sports field on the north side of the stream and a fully sealed pathway from Apsley Drive and Berkshire Dive through to Withells Rd. There is a wonderful children's playground on the south side, which is boardered by Woodbury St., where there are two bus routes. Children's playground, toilet and water facilities, nice wee creek running through it which doesn't appear to have much life in it apart from a little bit of green hair algae which I am guessing is due to it potentially just being a water run off from somewhere. Also there is a fair bit of toxic hemlock and nightshade as well as stinging nettle growing through there so be cautious with animals and young ones that may ingest nightshade berries or try nibbling on some hemlock etc. Cool looking bmx track which I have to sadly say doesn't seem to be well utilized at all but good...
