Dawn's light on the bay, Gentle waves, a soft, slow breath, Tamaki awakes. Green hills rise softly, Homes nestled, a quiet peace, Suburban embrace. Manuka's sweet scent, Bees hum, a busy chorus, Nature's gentle song. Mission Bay's bright sand, Children laugh, ice cream melts fast, Summer's joyful heat. Rangitoto's peak, Silent watcher, blue and grand, Island's ancient soul. The Pohutukawa trees, Crimson flowers, vibrant hues, A coastal bright rim. Local cafes hum, Coffee steams, talk flows free, Community's warmth. Parks where children play, Swings fly high, laughter rings out, Innocence unbound. The tide creeps inward, Sandpipers dance, quick small steps, Searching for small food. The ferry boat glides, Across the harbors shining face, To islands it goes. The shopping centers, Bustling crowds, a hurried pace, Modern life's quick flow. The older houses, Gardens bloom, with colors bright, History remains. The yachts gently rock, In the marina's calm hold, Waiting for the wind. The skies change their shade, Clouds drift by, in patterns strange, A painter's delight. The evening arrives, Lights begin to twinkle soft, Auckland rests awhile. The restaurants glow, Aromas drift, a tasty treat, Evening meals shared. The quiet suburbs, Street lamps cast a gentle light, Peaceful, calm and deep. The moon rises high, Silver glow on sleeping waves, Night's serene embrace. The stars brightly shine, A vast expanse, dark and deep, Cosmos's grand view. The gentle night breeze, Whispers through the trees so tall, A calming soft sigh. The city sleeps sound, Dreams take flight, on silent wings, Until mornings light. The birds start to sing, A morning chorus, sweet and clear, A new day begins. The sun's golden rays, Touch the hills, warm and bright, Awakening the land. The harbor shines clear, Reflecting skies of purest blue, A beautiful start. The people awake, Ready for the days new tasks, Life starts once again. The eastern beaches, Await the footsteps of those, That love the sea side. The many gardens, Filled with flowers of every kind, A colorful sight. East Auckland thrives on, A place of beauty and grace, A wonderful home. The gentle spirit, Of this place, will always stay, For all to enjoy. So ends this story, Of eastern shores, and gentle days, Auckland's...
Read moreVisited the Saturday Night Market & enjoyed the amazing experience thoroughly. There was a nice band generating good vibes music at the entrance, was very welcoming, very nice variety of stalls displaying items ranging from veges, toys, mobile phone accessories to arts & crafts, crystals & display items, portrait & sketch artists of amazing talent, and a gorgeous variety of local & overseas food items. A delightful mix of huge variety of food items catering to all tastes & very appealing to the tastebuds. Prices are kept most reasonably balanced & the choices are very inviting. Sometimes it worth trying out a new item to explore & gain new culinary experience. I noticed that there were less tables/chairs for people to sit & eat. Families with kids need to be able to sit somewhere in there please. Special mention: The attached photo was taken at a stall selling these items, what was most appealing was the unique illuminated display case. Overall the night market is a great place to visit & do a bit of grocery/ vege/ fruit shopping & buy toys or accessories & even some bargains & clothes. Food is my main attraction & I have rarely ever gone away hungry. Ample Car parks is a benefit & the crowd & staff are so friendly. Great atmosphere. Do visit on Saturdays if...
Read moreAwww I will always LOVE Pakuranga!!!! So many fond memories,of when I was younger, over there. This was our go to place, for Shopping and Eating. In the Plaza, was our Regular Farmers Store, that we shopped at every week. Xmas Pressies, were always from there, and other stores,in the Plaza,as well. Brought a lot,of my Gold Jewelry from the Plaza. The Food Court was Most Delicious, and we knew exactly where to go,to get our regular yummy as meals from. It was quite sad, when I went in there today, and some of the regular eating places are no longer there? It shows how I haven't been there,in a while. My Parents are both retired now,but they always used to go eat there together, after work,in the weekends,or whenever they had the time. We always knew those times to go there,so our Parents would shout me,n d kids some Lunch,or Dinner. What was always such a busy and packed environment,is no longer. Even though I don't go there as much,as I used to,I will Always,Always LOVE...
