The most TERRIBLE experience. If I could give this place 0 stars I wouldnât hesitate.
We dined at Chada Thai restaurant tonight and ordered an appetizer along with three main courses.
Everything was going well until we tried one of our main dishes, the pad thai. It was completely disgusting, drenched in an overly sweet sauce that tasted like sugary noodles. Since my mom is a type 1 diabetic, she couldn't eat something so sweet.
We called the server over and explained that the dish was very sweet, requesting either a replacement or a refund. She went to the kitchen, but they initially refused. We insisted she ask again, as we hadn't touched the meal and didn't want to pay for it. They finally agreed, albeit rudely. However, the server didn't offer us the option to swap the meal.
As we got up to pay for our meals, there were two women at the register: the server who had been attending to us and another who had come from the kitchen. The server gave us dirty looks while we were trying to pay, and the other woman made a nasty comment, saying, "We don't want to see your faces here again."
As first-time customers, this was a terrible dining experience, and I wouldn't return. First, they insisted we pay for a dish we didn't touch, and then they made rude comments as we were trying to pay. I've had pad thai at many other restaurants, and it's never been as sweet as this one. Despite explaining that my mom has type 1 diabetes and can't eat something so sugary, these two ladies were neither reasonable nor understanding. They clearly don't care about their customers' health and have a poor grasp of running a restaurant.
I will never come here again, and I donât think anyone else...
Read moreA thoroughly enjoyable dinner with different flavours and served nicely hot fresh out of the wok. The Thai fishcakes had a crisp outer and bouncy bite. They were delicious with the sweet chilli sauce. The spring rolls were crisp and crunchy but the filling was a little bland in flavour so sauce was needed.
The tofu Tom Yum soup was light and filled with tofu tomatoes mushrooms and vegetables. It had just enough heat to give its own taste. The more spicier Panang vegetarian tofu curry differed from the slightly sweeter duck red curry. Both were super tasty though the Panang curry was creamier.
With great 'wok-hei' to give the high heat toasty flavour of the roti, it was the best I've eaten for a while. Finely layered roti came with the peanut dipping sauce which was very moreish.
The beef Thai salad was refreshing and tasty. A good size serving too.
A tasty and flavoursome dinner. Again my eyes were more hungry than my stomach so had to pass on the dessert round. A banana fritter would have round off the dinner so will have come back soon.
The staff were very friendly and polite, quick to fix a menu selection and prompt meal preparation.
Being early diners it was quiet on arrival but it soon filled up. The food must be good because there was a steady stream of online...
