Whoa... What a beautiful place. Fascinating! You wouldn't expect this in Foxton. I loved the stories they tell in the museums. About mana whenua, the Dutch immigrants, and the early pioneering days of our country and Foxton. The birthplace of the Manawatu, apparently. Great to see Foxton soaking up all this culture. Great day out for the family. Would highly recommend it!

Went for 1st time....had been recommended by a friend. Loved it...lots to do for all the family....Loved the blend of the library and museum....the Dutch history mixed with the Maori history was fantastic, informative and fun for the family. Totally recommend to all to visit.

Nice and cozy place for stopover. They have a small cafe in house that serve great coffee, they have cakes and snacks too. Parking is easy just right beside the building, access by side entrance. Building next to wind mill, perfect landmark to spot. Washroom is so clean!

A great little museum combined with a library. I saw the Anne Frank exhibition here in their separate exhibition room, it was beautiful and sobering. The main area celebrates both local Maori history and the Dutch immigrants that settled in the area. There's also a board where visitors are encouraged to write who they are and where they're from, it's interesting to see how far some have come from. There's also a Lego area for the kids and a cafe. Well worth a visit, particularly if you have a...

“Dat is compleet zinloos” not to stop here and say hi to the awesome staff. This place is a hidden gem and so much more than just a library, it’s like having two museums included! I learned that the Dutch people contributed to New Zealand’s splendid coffee culture and that harakeke is much more than just a...
