Off the loop wake park is good and is central in north island , being nearby Palmerston, and Wanganui as well as Levin. The staff probably could of been better at explaining instructions, and maybe more friendly however other than that this place is fun, however bookings are very essential. Wakeboarding is a very fun thing to try, however it takes a while to get the hang on for most people. The facilities and changing rooms were a little dirty and could of done with a good clean. The park has a BBQ available to use, and has many areas in which people are able to sit and watch the wakeboarding occur, making it great for people wanting to watch as well as wake board. Their are also many other entertainment options, such as stand up paddling board , an inflatable course, biscituting and kite surfing, although wake boarding the main attraction it seemed. Thier are 2 courses, an beginner and an advanced, so is good to have both options for all types of skillsets thier. Open from november - March

Jan2022: a group visit. Pre booked, this was essential.. We did the bouncy course thing. Don't be scared off with all the possible liability readings. If you are sensible and listen to instructions, the best time will be had. Yes changing rooms are very basic, but what do you get when you go to the beach, or the river.?? Take food&drink, sunscreen. Compulsory to wear a life jacket which is great for relaxing if you get too tired pulling yourself up onto the islands. A huge range of ages were there for our 1hr, and all looked to be having fun. Watched the wake boarding, and the double skimmer thing was being used as well. The deck had a good area for relaxing, and around the inflatable course were seating for non swimmers to watch.

A whole bunch of fun! Went with a couple of other family friends. Basically, quite a number of floats cabled down in a fresh water pond. The water is mirky, but reasonably clean. You have to wear life jackets that are supplied and they give you a brief safety speech. The big slides and the rope swing is fun and a number of obstacles to walk/crawl around. Prices aren't too bad. Changing rooms are tiny.

My kids had a great day for their first time. The ladies working both the general counter and overseeing the water park were friendly and helpful.

The only downside was we didn’t know in advance when prebooking there was a school holiday programme through part of our session - it would be helpful if you noted this please as some of us wish to book without extra kids present/fewer numbers (personally i avoided the 11am session as it was almost full).

The only other gripe if you will was that (and maybe some of this is out of your control), but i noticed some turned up with under 10s with no adult intending to swim - not cool. Your rules are really clear on your website and not sure how well monitored this is but as a parent i’ve done my time ensuring i am in the water with my kids on other similar water parks and other parents need to do the same - the rules are there for a reason. That’s more an open your eyes to other parents through. One group was asked if a parent was swimming but they had 4 x under 10s by the looks and only 1 parent swimming - by my calculation 2 were required. We will definitely be back again next...
