Fang's Takeaway — Attraction in North Island

This place serves so many Chinese food you can literally order many things at the same time.

I like the fact that this place is close to my home and they are very efficient so you can order the food fast. Fattiest menus for the chicken, beef, pork, seafood, rice, noodles, and more, including Fish and chips can be ordered here.

I have tried the fried rice, including Indonesian fried rice, Mongolian beef, fish and chips, and spicy chicken. You can order them with rice or without rice.

The price is very reasonable, ranging from NZ$12-NZ$17 per portion for main dishes. The portion is also generous and in my case, I can even eat it twice.

It is very easy to spot this place and parking is relatively easy to find as well.

Warning: terrible food hygiene at Fangs takeaways. I have been concerned about some of the back of house hygiene for a while but today my fears were realised. Today I ordered some food. Whole waiting I saw one of the staff having a cigarette in front of the shop, blowing all the smoke into the shop, which I thought was bad enough. Then he put his cigarette out by rubbing it along the top of the public rubbish bin, I assume to ensure it was out. The horror came when he then walked inside the shop, went directly behind the counter and started putting the lid on my Chinese food order and stuffing the food into the container around the sides with his unwashed hands! I told them I didn't want the food. They laughed and ignored...

Have previously had pretty good takeaways style Chinese food here - orange beef etc but moved towards the more traditional side of the menu this time and was very disappointed.
