Fourteenth Avenue Fish n Chips — Attraction in North Island

Such good fresh seafood! I had battered snapper, scollaps and oysters and was definitely upset I didn't order more!! You know when you get oysters that are still so fresh they have that little bit of a sea water burst.... soo yum! 4 stars only because the hot chips and donuts were abit of a let down (oil needed changing in my opinion or maybe they weren't cooked from frozen, chips were stale tasting) but honestly the seafood was so good I'd order here again minus the chips...

Used to be simply the best fish in chips in town, and such nice friendly people. Unfortunately success seems to have come at a cost of their standards. For the 3rd time in recent months, we have been sold clearly frozen fish when we asked specifically what fresh fish they had. The difference is always obvious. I made an order food was cooked well. But my order was wrong and overpriced. I queried it, the guy showed me a number which was 10 dollars overpriced.
