Tauranga Citizens Club — Restaurant in Bay of Plenty

Dropped in during the day with a visitor from Australia and behind us at the reception was a small group of elderly ppl, one of which was in a wheelchair who were turned away because they weren't members,surely someone could have signed them in my Australian visitor was shocked that we still do this in nz incidentally the club only had a handful of ppl in there so could have done with the trade also maybe recruit more member the club needs to move forward...

Have been a member for about 8mths at the club. Have been to 2 Entertainment shows there plus had a nice meal. Last Sunday went to the restaraunt for the Sunday Roast which was great I liked the idea that you could choose the size of the meal. I chose a small meal which was more than adequate for my needs but wait included in the price was a dessert. I will be back but will ask for 1/2 the portion...

firstly the food and restaurant staff were first class, I was denied entry to the bar area for god knows why, possibly an old bigot behind reception as I have reviewed the rules and found that actually I should not have been refused, considering I only wanted to watch the rugby while I wait for a meal was did appointing, it's hard to enjoy when you get funny looks from reception the minute...
