Really nice little park. Amazing playground, and lots of benches for eating at. They're a little dirty though, so if you're planning to have a picnic remember to bring a cloth to wipe down the table. There's also an old lake that currently has no water in it. An old Japanese garden also exists. It's currently not accessible but you can see pretty much all of it over the short walls around the outside

This is a beautiful park full of adventures Rose gardens Duck pond to walk ways to children's playgrounds to picnic areas to sing so much more. You can expect a friendly quiet and peaceful environment to amenities. Leisure spent at this location I can recommend to a great family day out.

Lovely park in Hāwera South Taranaki New Zealand 🇳🇿 . The statue is J M Barries Wendy the companion to the statue of Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens London. It was gifted to the children of Hāwera many years ago. Worth a look

Was born in Hawera a long time ago . Left at age five. King Edward Park was my favourite childhood memory of Hawera. Have visited a number of times since and had been a bit disappointed at its upkeep. But today ......... fabulous immaculate. Great kids play area, ponds sparkling, demonstration hedges clipped to perfection especially the pomaderis? ( perhaps the corokia hedging might be allowed to flower a little more) Flower beds wonderful. The range in colour of the alstromerias and presentation of these...

The different playground equipment for babies, toddlers, primary and older children caters for the different ages and interests. Having a swing that works for ably challenged tamariki is wonderful. Then there are the sensory aspects in the playground. Trails that are quieter and with Filtered light means those with different sensory needs can also enjoy the space. The highlight for my grandchildren was the water.. the wheel, the dams the pond. Such laughter...

A friend I was with taking a walk with the dogs. These 2 boys between 8-10 years started mocking & making dog sounds. Unsettled my dog. After a few words, exchange, I asked them to leave us alone. They stalked us following us & throwing stones at us. The stones hit me. They were very aggressive. It's not a safe place. I won't be going there again. These two boys swore. Were intimidating behaviors. We left gawd knows what their home life is...
