Raumati Marine Gardens — Attraction in North Island

I have known this park since I was a child . Now my own kids are too old to play , but its better than ever . There are too many features to mention , but if you're looking for a family gathering out ,then this is a sure thing for enjoyment . Even if you're older like me ,then watch the kids entertain themselves, while you picnic , have a bbq ,or take them for a ride on the different miniature trains . Awesome park - easy to keep an eye on the kids from all parts of the park, great for toddlers right up to bigger children. Swings, zipline, splash pad, different types of slides. Space to ride small toddler bikes. Miniature train rides. Sunny sheltered spot. Lots of picnic tables. Good amount of shade. Right next to the beach. Not fenced. Decent parking. This is a great park for our toddlers and I think bigger kids will find plenty to do too. The splash pad is big and not as intimidating as Porirua. There is a model train - although I've never seen it going. There are bbq's - but again I think these are used infrequently.

One of the best things about this spot us that on one side there are a few cafes, where you can pick up a cheese scone and a coffee, and on the other side there is a beautiful beach and a nice pub. What more...
