I'm a grown adult and literally cried before going on this due to how scary it looks from the ground close up (some kids have no fear). I had a full panic attack prior and during this ride BUT I'm SO happy I went ahead with it (I hadn't done anything like this before). You are quite literally bolted and buckled in... although smaller people (like myself) and young children may feel like they're slipping out when it tilts forward at the top (again you are BOLTED in that seat); by that point you don't want to go ahead with it and want to be on the ground. Once the swing actually finishes the first swing (the fastest part) it's pretty fun to swing around up there... the rest of the time before that you feel like you're going to die and everything is a blur due to the speed, but once you survive it's actually quite exhilrating and you appreciate life more. The worst parts were being leverged up great height backward, the suspence before you pull the lever (and the mini heart attack when it doesn't work the first time) and the racing heart as you hurtle downward and out (all part of the fun though). Amazing view from all the way up there though. Honestly, months on from that experience, I still feel like I could do more adventure things I never would've done before after going on and surviving this.
Would not reccomend for people with heart conditions, frail elderly or those with severe, uncontrolled anxiety or other mental health concerns. Personally, I wouldn't let a young child (If I had any) on this swing either but otherwise 100% reccommend for...
Read moreFrom the outside, this place looks quite nice. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff are fairly efficient. However, where I think it counts the most, the food is actually so trash.
The steak I requested to be grilled was in different grades of how well done it was. The Asian food was the most unauthentic, sorry excuse for a meal. The space for getting the food was very close to other people's table and the lines weren't structured well. The only thing I liked about the food was the soup, which is very hard to not get right. You'd have to be an idiot to not be able to make good soup.
Bottom line: Don't go here. Save your money for a better place. Even Maccas is more worth your money than the $55 I spent on this pathetic...
Read moreOMG!!!! everyone should have a go on the Sky Swing!! It was the most amazing experience. My daughter and I were in Rotorua enjoying her hen's day/night out and decided to have a go!! It was so much fun. The ride up the tower was the only scary bit for me as I am a big lady and did not know if the harness would hold me in, felt as if I would slip right out!! But obviously I didn't...What a rush, was the highlight of my day making special memories for myself and my beautiful daughter Keri.
Will go again for sure!! EXCELLENT value for indescribable fun, with maximum adrenaline rush!! Tick this ride off your bucket...
