Lots of interesting stands that have fresh foods like eggs, tomatoes, and oranges. There are plenty of prepared foods including pies, grilled peppers, and even food for cat & dogs. There are usually 2 coffee stands on either side which are always busy. Everyweek there is a different musical group playing tunes for all of our enjoyment. Its a lovely place.
The only issue is more of a social one and that is every gate into the farmers market is guarded by beggers. Its certainly uncomfortable seeing them every week. But NZ simply isn't taking care of our people. We need universal basic income now more than ever so that no person in NZ will ever "need" to beg the gov or its citizens for money. As UBI is NOT tested like the current WIC system which is really horrible.

There are other smaller organic stalls, but hardly worthy of your time. Forget organic coffee - you'll have to drive your hybrid hippie kombi to the Mount for anything decent. I had to drive to Huckleberrys to get organic fruit, as Abundant Backyard and Six toed stalls don't sell any.
