Tauranga Racecourse Event Centre — Attraction in North Island

So glad our friend recommended a visit to the annual gems and stones show! Parking was previously pretty 'how you going', so we parked a wee walk away...but then had a nice walk to the venue😁 Everything was full on, with displays all over the shop (in an orderly aisle arrangement), didn't know where to go first, so after dashing from side to side, we made the executive decision to be methodical about things..amazed to keep a hold of the budget reins too! Although, could have bought a whole table display of fossils (my fave), but with no way to get them back to Oz without paying twice the cost in shipping...thought we'd give it a miss. Then there was the demo, display room...crazy specimen, in terms of blow your mind, awe inspiring of every type... Definitely going again next time if we're there visiting at the...

It's always a great day coming here from Auckland. Our close friends who live in the Mt have always invited us every year , and we manage to get into the lounge room, and we have so much fun. Sometimes we win and others we don't, but catching up with great friends and having a good day out , makes it all worth...
