First off - we received excellent service from Nico, he was very welcoming and attentive. Not overly in our face to the point we felt hassled just the right balance!
The food was good for the most part; the steaks were cooked to absolute perfection. I hate when you say medium rare and it comes out over done - the Argentinian chef at this place really knew how to cook it just right. I was unsure on the "creamy mushroom sauce" as it was more a creamy leek sauce and a little bit salty against the steak if you had too much. Besides that we thoroughly enjoyed our main meals.
As for the entrees, the Crispy fried chicken was the let down of the night, nothing crispy about it and I'm assuming they use chicken breast as it was very dry. The salt and pepper calamari was okay, not the best but far from the worst I've had. Next time I think we'll skip the entrees and maybe get dessert instead.
All in all a good evening...
Read moreHad my first meal at Greerton Social Club, and it was a top-notch experience. The staff were friendly and helpful – really made us feel at home. The food was outstanding. I had the grilled salmon with quinoa, and it was unreal – the salmon was perfectly cooked, flaky and flavourful, and the quinoa was packed with fresh flavour. The prawns were also cooked perfectly, tender and juicy.
Everyone at our table loved their meals – no complaints at all. I’ve popped into Social before for a couple of after-work drinks, and that’s always been a good time too. I’ve also got to mention the décor – it’s got this really funky vibe that makes the whole place feel even more inviting.
It’s awesome having a place like this in my hometown of Greerton – feels good to have a local spot that nails both the food and the atmosphere. Can’t wait...
