No Gannets, But Still a Killer View

Came to see the famous gannets… turns out they’re on vacation until October 🐦✈️. Should’ve checked their flight schedule. But honestly, even without the birds, the place is stunning.

Waves smashing against dramatic cliffs, wind trying to steal my cap, and views that make you feel like you're in a movie. The walking path is short but scenic, and it’s a great spot to just chill and soak in the rugged beauty.

Moral of the story: don’t expect gannets in June—but do expect an epic view and a reminder that nature doesn't run on our calendar.

“Logan was here… but the gannets...

It's an experience that feels almost otherworldly, particularly when you catch one of those spectacular west coast sunsets. Note: They may have bluebottle (jellyfish) don't mess with them, maybe kindly bury them for the safety of everyone's feet. DONT swim this is a surfers beach. This popular spot can get crowded, especially during peak season and around sunset. Beyond the stunning views, the location is surprisingly well-equipped. The presence of clean, well-maintained public restrooms is a...

Definitely recommend a visit to see these amazing birds in large flocks and colonies. There is a nice short hike down that gets you closer to these amazing birds. 1000s of them at various stages of breeding and hatching chicks. The beach was really good with huge waves and lots of folks surfing.
