So, I visited the JJT Park for the first time even though I've had many reasons to be there in the past but I couldn't due to one reason or another. However, I went to make an enquiry to see if we could use the place for a hangout in December and I was absolutely impressed with what I saw. From the gate I could feel some level of safety and peace. I walked into it and saw different people, individuals and groups, having fun, taking pictures, playing games and enjoying life. The place was so calm and peaceful. Everyone doing their own thing. Another time, I decided to visit there again and this time, I sat down quietly and was just observing everything that was going on. I took a walk around, took some really nice pictures, took pictures with some To-Be couples who had come around for their PRE-WEDDING shoots. I visited the canteen inside the park at some point, got some iced cream, jollof rice and water. It was all a beautiful experience put together. The atmosphere is giving and you also get to meet a lot of people and talk. I will recommend it to you. You can visit on your own or as a group. You can have a party or group hangout there. You can choose to use the mat and stay on the floor or if you guys are looking for more comfort and to avoid the sun, you can actually book their Plumbago Gazebo special spaces, they have chairs inside them already. One takes 20 people, another takes 40 people, they have one that takes 60 people and so on.... If you need more information, reach out and I can also share the manager's contact with you so you can make enquiries just in case you can't visit physically. But I recommend it.

As always I'd start with parking. It's free if you arrive on time but if you have to park inside its "N500". If you park at the park 🤭 nearby then its N200 + a long walk. Suffice to say, parking wasn't in the plans. The use of a nose mask is enforced. Entry is free however no glassware is allowed into the park. It's logical for the environment. Parks should be secure and safe. The Eyo bridge is one of the first artifacts you notice. It's interesting and follows the Lagos theme the park has. However some of the slats are broken so you'd likely not want to walk through. As a safety precaution, there should be caution tape around it. There is also an artifact featuring the faces of the 3 individuals whom the park is named after. It is surrounded by African flags however the flags weren't flying when I visited. There is a fountain as well but it wasn't on. Other areas include a mini zoo with parrots, playground for kids, cabanas with chairs, 3 toilets and a place where you can buy food. There is free WiFi but I didn't try for it since its cos of privacy concerns seeing as it's a public network. The toilets were okay, but could be cleaner. I'd also like it if there were security patrols occasionally. The security go around shortly before 6pm to alert people its closing time understandably, however, it would be nice if it were well lit and secure enough to stay open longer. All in all a very nice place to relax, talk, meet, or even have a little party.

This is a public park, but it is well maintained. The last time I came here was about 13 years ago, but a lot has changed since that time. I can see so many changes now. This place is wearing a completely new look with more facilities and attractions though nothing to compare with private facilities, but for a public and almost free pack in Lagos, it is not bad at all. There are now tents/huts you can rent for the period you want to stay and have a kind of private session with your team or loved ones. I went there on a Sunday evening (outside the yeltide or any other celebration season), yet there were many people who came out to relax and recreate with their loved ones and family. There is also a restaurant where you can buy soft drinks and snacks, there is also an ice creame booth somewhere. I saw people offering different kinds of services, ranging from face painting for kids to mat rentage, etc. Infact, there was a horse ride for those interested to ride horses with a token and also take pictures for free in the beautiful space. Kids were allowed to be kids and very happy. They have swings, slides, and other kiddies play gadgets. The place is massive with many structures for photographs. You can have a serene solo walk or walk around with your guest. It was a good, cheap, simple but beautiful experience for me. If you are looking for a place to take your kids with a very small amount on the mainland, consider JJT park Alausa Ikeja.

Usually passing through the Park and most times I see it filled with people but never had any reason to be inside the Park. But today I decided to purposely go there and see for myself and Mehn!!! it was absolutely an amazing experience 💯 The PARK is Highly Recommended by all means for any hangout or relaxation of any kind. The environment is very clean, highly secured & safe, children’s playground & friendly, big chessboard game ,a parrot 🦜 to talk to, sitting areas under shelter Incase of rain or too much sun, absolutely picture perfect views, easy to locate either by private or public transport because it’s just by the House Of Assembly entrance behind Alausa Secretariat. POV: I totally had a great time and for people like me that enjoy not too much crowd should visit on Tuesdays & Thursdays, and the { PARK CLOSE by 6pm } The JJT PARK is a place that all Local Government in Lagos should have because with such place around you, you will spend less and have a place to just sit down, relax with friends & family or just alone and just enjoy life as it is… PS: BIG UP’s TO LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT FOR THE INCREDIBLE PARK & HOPE TO SEE MORE AROUND LAGOS 🌳🖤💯🙏🏽👍🏽
