The lake is easily accessible, with a gravel road starting just behind the playground at Fløibanen's top station. It's only a short walk of about 400 meters (10-15 minutes) from Fløibanen's top station to reach the lake.
You can enjoy lunch or a barbecue in the designated areas, and in the summertime, there's free canoe rental available from late June to the end of August.
