Fløistuen kafé — Restaurant in Bergen

We were the first customers at the café, arriving exactly at 9:00 AM when it opened. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to the rude and unwelcoming behavior of one of the staff members — her attitude and unfriendly looks made us feel very uncomfortable.

My wife and I ordered a 2 black coffee, and a focaccia sandwich. When we asked about the sandwich, we were told it would take a full hour to be ready — even though we were the first guests of the day. We had no choice but to take one from the day before, which wasn’t fresh. We also ordered a pizza, which turned out to be very dry and not enjoyable.

For a place located at such a popular tourist destination that welcomes visitors from around the world, we expected a much more professional and welcoming...

Our group wanted a light meal, so opted to try this café instead of the restaurant nearby. It didn’t seem like the café was able to handle the number of tourists visiting the area, although perhaps it was an anomaly due to the unexpected fine weather. It was around 14:00 when we got in the queue. I had a peek at the front and saw some very bare display cases with only a few sweet pastries remaining. I noticed a staff member assembling some sandwiches, however, so we decided to continue queuing. It seemed that we came at just the right time and were able to snag two of the sandwiches, which were rather pricey for essentially being ham and cheese. Stopped in for coffee and pastries after viewing the city. Small, cozy stop that we enjoyed a bit of warmth from the breeze outside. We had a chocolate covered toffee muffin (fantastic,) blueberry muffin (good and your average muffin,) and a bacon pancake (nothing exciting, bland and would not order again.) The coffee was decent but nothing special as a machine made everything with a press of a button. The creamer, sugar, etc. was all in the same place so we felt rushed when preparing our drinks as the line looked impatient at us. It would have been nice to have a separate preparation table aside the coffee machines. Overall a nice...
