Skomakerstuen café is a short walk from the funicular (Fløibanens) Fløyen station, but we wisely stopped here before the Sunday crowds arrived. Along with offering good coffee, Danish, and cake (from a limited menu), the recent (built in 2020) café has a cozy vibe. Large windows to view Lake Skomakerdiket; long wood tables; wood seats covered with long-hair sheepskin (presumably real) for comfort and warmth on cooler days. Pity the café is apparently open only on weekends/holidays and only for about five hours (11am-4pm).

This place is definitely...
