A unique museum — the only one of its kind in the world. The story of stockfish and its role in Lofoten is fascinating and worth experiencing. However, the presentation could be improved: the leaflet was not very clear, some exhibit numbers were missing or confusing, and the short film upstairs felt very outdated. Owner was a very interesting gentleman who used to export stockfish and grew up in Lofoten, so he really knows his stuff and speaks many luggages!
Nice free coffee, tea and biscuits upstairs which is a cosy spot to hide while the rain passes.
