Terrible service. Our Czech waitress was nice but the other one was simply rude and treated us like 3rd class guests. We did not look our best after three days hike but we were clean and frankly, that should not affect how you treat customers. We were told that all tables by the window were reserved which was totally fine. We asked if we could be reseated if someone left/did not appear and we were told that they would do their best. When one table left we asked about it and were told no once again. However, when another couple came and told at the entrance they had no reservation, they were taken straight to a window table. When I told the waitresses about that when we were paying (after asking for a check we waited for good 10 minutes before being told again quite rudely to go pay at the counter) about the situation the rude one got even more unpleasant and told us they have been working there for 4 days only and did not know what to do. All that with 3 waitresses and a half empty place. If the restaurant has some internal rules about seating hotel guests in better spots or shirt and tie policy or something it would be cool to note somewhere. Food was ok. Rather watery fish soup and decent burger with fries. But still - avoid due to rude staff. James (New...
Read moreWe had an unforgettable dining experience at Brygga Restaurant & Reception in Å. The food was absolutely delicious, showcasing traditional Norwegian flavors that we were eager to try. We began with the Shrimp Toast, which was outstanding. The Fish Soup was rich and flavorful, and the Fish Burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Pepper Crab was a highlight — simply incredible. For the main course, we had the Catch of the Day, which was cod; it was prepared to perfection. To finish, we shared a carrot cake that was absolutely spectacular — probably the best I’ve ever had. The service was exceptional. Our waitress, Gisela, from Spain, was an absolute delight. She was professional, charming, and had a great sense of humor, making our lunch even more enjoyable. Mil gracias Gisela! ❤️
The restaurant is located in a beautiful traditional Norwegian “rorbu” fishing cabin, and the view from the window — overlooking the charming village and the sea — was truly breathtaking. It added so much to the whole experience. We highly recommend Brygga Restaurant & Reception to anyone visiting Å. Delicious local food, warm service, and stunning surroundings — it was a...
Read morePoor food, nice location The Village is beautiful and the views stunning. The Bakery sells probably the best cinnamon Rolls in the islands. Restaurant dissapointing We had a fish soup and a burger. What can go wrong here? Soup was unfortunatly made from the powder and very watery, not creamy as said in the menu and bland, tasteless. Burger was totally raw blue, the patty definitely not house made so they should technically serve it cooked welldone, not raw, bun frozen although there is awesome bakery in the sameVillage so one would think it's from there but it ain't. fries more cooked than fried, soggy. Very sad because the place looked nice, another tourist trap in Lofoten, should find a new chef and focus on quality, stockfish and the table next to us didn't look any special either. Service lame, Not...
