This is a large park, which is constantly being developed for the better. There is lots of green space for walking, a large lake and several smaller ponds, where ducks and geese live happily in a clean, well built environment. Around the lake and where the circuit walks are concerned, there are plenty of places to sit and rest and the walks themselves are user friendly to anyone walking, biking, in a wheelchair or skating etc. There are also 'off road' paths in the trees/scrub areas for those who want a slightly more rural walk. There is a new children's playground which looks really good, and a couple of hills that you can walk to the top of and even see the CNN tower from. It's a good place for picnics in the Summer. There is also decent parking on site - although I imagine it would fill up in the Summer quickly and in that case you would need to park in the nearby residential streets. Only one real drawback - there are no signs to direct you where to go - not even a map at the entrance to the grounds/at the car park! This is very poor compared with other parks in the GTA and I hope someone sorts this out in the near future. Visitors are left to either print a map out from the website or just try to figure out where to go. This is a shame because there are apparently other things to see and do, like a sports centre, where there are washrooms - the sign to which is another must if you are going to spend a couple of hours there or have children who might need to use them. I have seen people commenting on a farmers'-type market there, and I think I saw a little path leading to greenhouses which might have been it, but again, signposts are needed. Other than that, a lovely oasis in the middle of the GTA, just metres from Keele Street and well worth a visit.

What an amazing place to explore. Clean park lots of information to check out great scenery. Recently attended the punk in drublic festival here. What an awesome spot for a concert venue very well set up the way the sound rolls through the hills is amazing. It was a very rainy, wet weekend and yes, there was lots of muddy spots but the nice thing is it looks like they put sand down and many of the spots that would take a lot of traffic like in front of the stage and what notthoroughly enjoyed myself here and will definitely keep an eye on any further being planned. Also parking was very easy. It was $25 a day but I was able to park fairly close to the venue which was easy and great for us.

Been to Downsview for quite a few festivals and concerts (and a drive-test!). It's a decently large place, but definitely misleading to find. My first year, myself and a group of 30+ people walked from Downsview station to the park... which is a 30-minute trek. I've learned to take the bus subsequent times, but there were definitely hordes of people throughout the day that made the same mistake. This was around 6 years ago, so I feel like there's much better awareness now. Grass isn't that great, pretty dead. However, facilities (portable washrooms, water etc.) are always thought of and plentiful, which isn't something to take for granted. Really hit and miss with weather and accidents.

I’ve been living in neighbourhood for over 10 years. Generally can be a pretty good park. They have been trying to develop it. Part of that development though is hosting events which create problems for the local residence. The worst event is the veld music festival. The amount of traffic and people and noise for the long weekend is absolutely ridiculous! The festival and Downsview Park should honestly give a portion of the proceeds to the local residence for the ridiculous headaches. Not to mention festival goers park in all the parking spots that are empty whether it’s for residence or visitors on all residential building property. This is absolutely ridiculous!

We are here to see the total solar eclipse. Unfortunately, I didn't do my homework well. When I arrived, I found that the parking lot in the park itself was not enough, so I had to find a place to park farther around. Standing on the heights of The Mount, you can take in the beautiful park scenery. Most people gathered there for the high altitude of The Mount. Unfortunately, climbing higher did not allow people to see the total solar eclipse more clearly. The Mount is a little muddy in some places and can make people slip - reliving the feeling of falling while skiing is not a pleasant thing.
