I only have a photo of when I took take out. I have been following this restaurant ever since it’s debut. Before they even had a sign and it was a banner on the window. I order their onion bhaji (which they don’t serve anymore) and was instantly hooked on the place. I’ve been coming here somewhat often ever since. I always loved their food, their hospitality is respectful. Their combo meal is very valuable! The price is around the same as the average combo anywhere else (at least in my experience) and the portion you get for that price is huge! I came here with a friend a few weeks back and they asked for criticism on the food after we finished. My friend said the rice was a little dry, and a few days later I came back as usual and the rice was moist. They care about their food and I hope this place gets more attention soon :D
Update 23/11/2024: They had recently come out with a new wrap! There are four different wraps, and I have gone with the chilli chicken. The wraps are big and surprisingly filling for $9.99, this place always has the best deals. I have gotten the chilli chicken, but there are four other flavours. The wrap was delicious! The actually wrap they used was nice and more on the thicker side. It’s a nitpick, but I wished the veggies weren’t all on one side and the meat on the other. The veggies are lettuce, tomato, peppers, white onion and pickles. At least for this flavour, I didn’t like the pickles being added here. I like pickles, but the sweet pickles just adds more unnecessary sweetness to something that’s already savoury sweet, being the sauce and chicken. Other than that, it’s another filling yet cheap meal from this place! Also it comes with this creamy sauce that I think adds a lot to the savoury...
Read moreI came into this restaurant hoping to enjoy a good dinner and try something new. I was immediately met with an unwelcoming and rude attitude from the receptionist. From the moment I arrived, I felt out of place, as though I did not belong, simply because I am a Black man walking into an Indian restaurant.
I tried to ask for guidance on what to order, since I’m new to Indian cuisine and wanted to choose something I’d enjoy. Instead of helping, the lady at the reception dismissed me and told me to just pick anything and go. When I asked specifically about curry chicken, she was clearly uninterested in assisting me or making me feel comfortable.
When I attempted to sit at a front corner table, she told me it was reserved. I’ve now been here for over 30 minutes and that table is still empty. She then directed me to sit at a table tucked away near the toilets. I expressed that I was uncomfortable sitting there. It was a cramped space, poorly ventilated, and uninviting.
I then tried to move to another clean and available table, but she stopped me again and insisted I remain where I was. To make matters worse, the table I was assigned had not even been wiped down. It had used tissues underneath and visible mess on the surface. She came by with a rag, but when I didn’t move, she chose not to clean it.
This experience was deeply disappointing and upsetting. No customer should be made to feel unwelcome because of their race or background. I genuinely came in to explore and enjoy the food, but what I received instead was poor service, lack of basic hospitality, and what felt like clear discrimination.
I hope management takes this seriously and works to ensure that all customers, regardless of who they are, are treated with respect...
Read moreOrdered 1 plate momos costing $9 which comes with 6 peices, i wanted different flavours so i asked them if they could do 3 chilli and 3 65 flavoured momos but they denied that, and i stated that just bring a single flavour if you cannot get 3 and 3 pieces of each flavour, they ended up bringing 2 full plates of chilli momos and momo 65 and the flavour was extremely spicy even after notifying them not to make it spicy, I am Indian and I know how spicy momos can get but it looked like they just put chillies in the sauce and no other flavour, there was blandness in the whole material, the momos were not cooked and they did not specify that they would air fry them and not give it steamed or fully fried, also ordered mango lassi which they took 10 minutes to make and the lassi was also not cold so I am unsure if it was fresh or not, the server kept calling the vegetarian momos as chicken 65 like 4 times and I had to reconfirm with her 3 times if the food is vegetarian or not, very unprofessional! Also ordered vegetarian manchurian with gravy , absolutely garbage food, no flavour fully bland and also they were very small as compared to regular sized manchurian ,which completely threw me off, tasted awful , spent 46 dollars on this place and I wish i could go back in time and get that money back… If i compare the other indian restaurants on the brampton side, i can spend the same amount and will never be unimpressed with the quality and the quantity they will provide, hopefully they can get better after...
