Would like to leave a very well-deserved review for: YUSUF, AYTEKIN, HELIN, SERDAR, UMRAN As my first time at this restaurant I was absolutely blown away by the genuine authentic kind welcome greeting and energy of Yusuf and all the hard work from everyone and the generous large servings is truly a refreshing gift to get value for your dollar! For the first time I had falafels that are healthy green on the inside and the most delicious! The lentil soup was delicious and filling! AND that delicious warm Bread smelled and tasted like my grandma's home made bread kneaded with ❤️! Especially perfect for this snowy season as I had just walked in full of a snow!!! What really stands out is Yusuf so kind and welcoming and attentive saw my friend and I came from very far and super dehydrated and generously was offered water and made us feel welcome inviting us "come inside, sit and enjoy! Back to the generous servings - this is rare considering most places seem to offer less food for more money and still hungry! God bless this restaurant for they care for the customers first, the quality of the food Especially for vegetarians was filling and delicious! I Felt like I was celebrating a lovely cozy Christmas dinner with my new found friend! The staff was delightful, patient, generous and Yusuf leading as the host he took care of our entire group 20+ people snow soaked runners with yet ANOTHER generous surprise of a Turkish delight- authentic Turkish tea for all of us! I ordered some more soup and bread to go ...hope if you enjoy as much as I have to do for them what your heart compells you ...to go thr extra mile with a kind review or buy a piece of warm bread that they can enjoy too...looking forward to go back and share with more friends and family ❤️! HEARTFELT THANK YOU YUSUF + TEAM = True...

On my last two visits, I ordered a döner and unfortunately found hard pieces of cartilage in the meat. The first time it happened, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe it was just an isolated mistake or bad luck. I didn’t even leave a review because I thought it could be a one-off issue.
However, when I came back and the exact same thing happened again, I couldn’t ignore it anymore. Biting into cartilage is extremely unpleasant — it completely ruins the texture and taste of the meal. It got to the point where I couldn’t even finish eating because every bite left me worried about what I might find next.
For the price they charge, I expect a certain standard of quality, freshness, and care in food preparation. Unfortunately, what I received did not meet those expectations at all. Instead of enjoying my meal, I walked away disappointed and frustrated, feeling like I had wasted both my money and my time.
It’s a shame, because a good döner should be flavorful, tender, and enjoyable from start to finish. Sadly, Champion Döner failed to deliver that experience not once, but twice in a row. Based on this, I cannot recommend this place, and I personally won’t be returning. Hopefully they take customer feedback seriously and improve their quality, because as it stands now, it was honestly a terrible...
Read moreSo as a new customer coming in I must say the food was good but the service could be better. I have worked in the customer service industry and the shawarma business for quite some time, and I must say the service here is mid to low tear. Sadly after spending almost a $100 on food and again being a new customer, I would expect my service experience to be amazing but instead I felt rather afraid to ask for certain things as it felt like a bother to ask and then see a smug look with no response on the servers end making our food. After asking for some things added to our food or sauses on the side, they would make little remarks to each other in their own language, which is very unprofessional. It felt as though it was a burden on them or such a task to do things as the server rolled her eyes at one point. In regards to this, I am deeply disappointed as I tried the one up in vaughan and recommended this to my family down in downsview to then be treated like rubbish with no customer appreciation. The sad part is I offered to pay extra for some stuff on the side, but it was met with ignorance. At the end of the day, I would take my $100 and go to a shawarma restaurant that smiles and appreciates my business rather than seeing it as a burden to...
