If you are working in the surco area this place is perfectly located. It's probably not the cheapest but it's location works well across from the US embassy and in-between all the local shops and restaurants. It is definitely not representative of local Peru though, it's a tourist spot. If you are here for a cultural experience, stay elsewhere. The breakfast is decent.

El punto más a favor que tiene es su excelente ubicación. Tienes un centro comercial a tu disposición, mucho restaurantes y es una zona céntrica. La decoración del local es tema de gustos, en lo personal no contraste bien con los tonos de color elegidos. Las habitaciones son amplias cómodas y el personal es muy amable. La infraestructura de algunos ambientes ya se se le notan los años. El restaurante brinda buena atención pero la comida es malisima tomando como en consideración el precio. Probé el desayuno buffet le faltaba variedad comparando con hoteles de misma categoría y los platos a la carta desabridos. Recomendable principalmente por su ubicación.

Hotel claims to be 5 star, definitely not....the only thing it has going for it is it's right across the street from the Embassy. Street noise continually all hours of the night . Casino below the hotel is loud with people standing outside smoking and yelling at all hours. Food is usually cold at the breakfast buffet which is very basic at best.Do yourself a favor and get up a bit earlier and stay at the JW Marriott, truly a 5 star hotel. I was at el polo for 1 very long month. Don't make the...
