Peruvian-Japanese Cultural Center — Attraction in Lima Metropolitan Area

What a great place for the Japanese Peruvian community!! Especially for the elderly! They have entertainment “Jinnai”, karaoke, calligraphy “Shodo”, or also after all these classes they can get together for a coffee and sandwich at Nakachi restaurant!!! For the Jinnai classes the cultural center provides transportation for each member from their house!!! and/go on an outing to close places for recreation…. Absolutely amazing service! This cultural center also has other restaurants and a great medical clinic center that provides assistance with help from the same doctors and the community center!! Nice place full of memories about the Japanese emigration during the Second World War to countries in South America, specially in Peru. Then, about the big growth that Japanese people had in Peru and particularly in Lima. They have a museum, pictures collection, they have two Japanese restaurants, une more fancy and expensive than the other. They also offer Japanese language school and many topics related to culture such movies projections, arts, music recitals etc. Be aware that during Covid-19’s pandemia, many things and restaurant are closed as well as presencial services. My comments are about the restaurant the one that is to the right of of the jinnai center entrance in front of a church. The good dishes are a sort of lottery tickets some are really good. eg Sashimi is excellent… but teishoukus and soups suck big time! There is a way better Japanese Korean restaurant behind the cultural center called Kaori in centro comercial San Felipe behind metro supermarket.
